People flock to the beach on Easter Sunday

Residents of General Santos City as well as from neighboring South Cotabato towns flocked to the beach yesterday, April 5, 2015 to celebrate Easter Sunday.

Rene Sol, who brought his family to Queen Tuna Park (formerly Lion's Beach), said it's all about faith and renewal of spirit.

"We get up early and came here all the way from Tantangan to be with everybody and celebrate Easter Sunday as a family."

Christians throughout the world celebrate Easter as one of the holiest days of their faith, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus.

According to the management at Queen Tuna Park, folks from as far as Cotabato Province and Sultan Kudarat gathered at the beach to celebrate Easter Sunday.
