Tnalak master dreamweaver and "national treasure" Be Lang Dulay passes away

South Cotabato and the Tboli tribe have lost an icon following the death of  Be Lang Dulay, the Tnalak master dreamweaver, a Tboli princess and Gawad Manlilikha ng Bayan awardee on Thursday, April 30, 2015. She was 91.

Lang Dulay suffered a mildstroke earlier this year and has been in a coma for nearly three months.

Declared a national living treasure in 1998 by the NCCA, she was recognized for her excellent craftmanship for weaving the traditional Tboli cloth called Tnalak which is now the cultural emblem of the Province of South Cotabato.
