The entire coverage area of South Cotabato-1 Electric Cooperative (SOCOTECO-1) will experience up to 9-hour power outage this weekend.
According to an announcement posted at the official Facebook page of SOCOTECO-1, the 9-hour brownout will be on Saturday, June 27, 2015, from 8 AM to 5 PM to facilitate the replacement of identified rotten 69kV structures and its auxiliaries, installations of fault indicators & line clearing within ROW of 69kV sub-transmission line.
The affected areas will be the entire coverage area of SOCOTECO-1 which includes eight municipalities in South Cotabato namely Banga, Lake Sebu, Surallah, Tboli, Norala, Sto. Niño, Tampakan, Tantangan, the City of Koronadal and the town of Lutayan in Sultan Kudarat.
"Outage time may change without prior notice but we will exert all efforts to restore power asap", the statement from SOCOTECO-1 added.
