In the Municipality of Tampakan, a total of 21 candidates have filed their COC before the local COMELEC last October 12-16, 2015 for the May 9, 2016 local and national elections. Three are running for mayor, two for vice-mayor and sixteen are seeking one of the 8 seats as municipal councilors.
For Mayor
Three (3) have filed their candidacies for mayor in the Municipality of Tampakan. They are incumbent mayor Leonardo Escobillo of the United Nationalists Alliance (UNA), Roberto Barroso of Liberal Party (LP) and Boyet Villanueva running independent.
For Vice Mayor
In the vice- mayoralty post, incumbent vice mayor James Cagas (LP) is being challenged by Leonard Escobillo (UNA).
