A South Cotabateño is among the 10 Country's Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS) for 2016 feted recently in Camp Crame.
Police Superintendent Jemuel Felongco Siason, who hails from Norala, South Cotabato is one of the four (4) Commissioned and six (6) Non-commisioned Police Officers that now joins the rank of 128 Outstanding Police Officers who have been honored by the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. since 2002.
The former chief of police in the Municipality of Tboli and former chief of Sultan Kudarat Public Safety Batallion was recognized for his numerous accomplishments in service including his role during the Mamasapano encounter last January 2015 where Malaysian bomb maker Zulkifli bin Hir, alias "Marwan" was killed.
Siason is now based at Camp Crame in Quezon City as the deputy senior police assistant for SILG Mike Sueno.
As one of this year's COPS awardees, Siason was conferred with a gold medallion, a trophy and a cash prize of Php500,000.
