All the 11 local government units in the Province of South Cotabato has their respective candidates in this year's Mutya ng South Cotabato with four (4) candidates representing private institutions and a government agency.

The Mutya ng South Cotabato is one of the highlights of Tnalak Festival 2017. Coronation night will be on July 16, 7 PM at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center.
