South Cotabato is Philippines' 2nd Most Competitive Province in 2017

The Province of South Cotabato is the country's 2nd most competitive province. This is according to the latest competitiveness rankings released by the National Competitiveness Council.

The competitiveness index is a yearly endeavor by the government-and-privately-led National Competitiveness Council, which aims to “promote a more competitive Philippines and instill a culture of excellence, through public-private sector collaboration as a means to reduce poverty through inclusive growth.

Last year, the "Land of the Dreamweavers" placed third in the ranking.
