The Department of Social Welfare and Development- Regional Office12 (DSWD-12) has standby goods to augment food and nonfood needs of family victims of any disasters and calamities.
According to Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Section Chief Norhata Benito, DSWD-12 has sufficient supplies to respond to any requests of partner Local Government Units (LGUs).
Victims of recent flooding in some areas of Lebak and Kalamansig towns, Province of Sultan Kudarat were provided with food supplies augmentation from the regional office.
On reported heavy rains and landslides in South Cotabato, Benito also confirms sufficient stockpile to respond to LGUs request for augmentation.
