Win condo unit, a car, shopping money with DOT's "Bring Home a Friend" program

Do you have friends and loved ones abroad? Invite them to visit the Philippines and you'll have the chance to win exciting prizes from the Department of Tourism with their "Bring Home a Friend to the Philippines" program.

Launched by DOT in Manila last October, the "Bring Home a Friend" program was aimed at encouraging Filipinos to invite their friends and loved ones living abroad to experience Filipino's world-renowned hospitality and the best of the Philippines.

Major prizes for the sponsor Filipinos include a condominium unit from Megaworld Corporation, a brand new Toyota Vios, and a P200,000 worth shopping money from Duty-Free Philippines.

For the foreign guests or invitee, they can win round-trip international flight tickets and tour packages to Palawan, Cebu, and Davao.

The "Paskong Pinoy" themed launching turned into a Christmas Party and joyful gathering of various tourism stakeholders from all over the region. There were dances and song numbers depicting Christmas in the Philippines, and gift-giving.

How to Join?

Step 1: INVITE

If you are a Filipino, of legal age or an expatriate living in the Philippines permanently or temporarily for 6 months, invite and be a "SPONSOR"! Log on to the official website www.bringhomeafriend.online and invite as many friends as you like.

Step 2: ACCEPT

Any foreign passport holder who is not a resident of the Philippines and who will accept the invitation from a "sponsor" and will travel to the Philippines will qualify as "invitee".

Step 3: TRAVEL

No travel to the Philippines, no electronic entries.

Remember, your invitee must travel to the Philippines within the specified period in order to qualify for the promo.

Step 4: REGISTER

After the travel is completed, the invitee should complete the registration process. They will be requested to upload travel documents such as their ticket and boarding pass.

After the successful registration, invitees will receive a notification along with an electronic coupon, this number of which will depend on the invitees point of origin.

Selection and announcement of winners:

The grand draw will be held in April 2018. Winners will be selected through electronic raffle draw. All winners will be notified via email and SMS. The list of winners will also be posted on the DOT website and social media accounts.

In order to claim prizes:

1. Invitees must submit the following documents for the verification of the winning entry:

  - Notification from DOT

  - Photocopy of (1) valid, government-issued IDs

  - Photocopy of passport

2. Sponsors must submit the following documents for the verification of the winning entry:

  - Notification from DOT

  - Photocopy of (1) valid, government-issued IDs (note: sponsors may claim their prizes only after his/her "invitee" has been contacted and the date of his/her arrival to the Philippines has been verified.
