"Gensan is safe", LGU issues statement on city's state of security and order

Recently, General Santos City has encountered a series of security threats.
While the local government unit of GenSan strongly condemns these heinous acts, we will not stop there.
Even though I was on official leave, I am in constant communication with the officials of this city. In fact, we have directed our General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) through our City Police Director Police Col. Raul S. Supiter to intensify the search for these criminals.
Director Supiter has assured me that with the GSCPO’s proven crime solution efficiency record that they will find out who these criminals are, but despite that assurance, I am calling for a stricter implementation of additional security measures.
We have added security assets like these eight brand new patrol cars, more firearms, and additional funding to help the PNP.
We have also directed all our barangay officials and the PNP, along with other stakeholders to participate in the nightly “Ronda” that we will be implementing within each barangay.
We are calling on the public and the residents of General Santos City to help in keeping our city safe by providing us with critical information as well as cooperation in our law enforcement efforts.
“Gensan is safe.” By standing as one community against these personalities whose only purpose is to commit crimes, together we can keep our city and our streets secure.
Let us all be vigilant and do our share.
We are a city of Generals. We do not shrink in fear when we are faced with adversity. We overcome challenges and rise above them when we work together as one community.
