South Cotabato 1st District Representative Pedro Acharon Jr. has endorsed the gubernatorial bid of Tupi mayor Reynaldo "Jun" S. Tamayo Jr. in the May 2019 midterm elections.
Acharon, chairman of Achievers with Integrity Movement (AIM), a local political party founded by former General Santos City mayor and South Cotabato Rep. Adelbert Antonino made the announcement last Wednesday, March 13 in his thanksgiving party held at Polomolok Municipal Gymnasium.
According to reports, Rep. Acharon, who is on his third term as congressman for the first district of South Cotabato (Tampakan, Tupi, Polomolok, and General Santos City) introduced Tamayo as the next governor of South Cotabato and raised his hand in support.
"The endorsement is a strong acknowledgment of the Bagong Boses leadership, especially the leadership of Mayor Tamayo.." posted at Bagong Boses ng South Cotabato, a Facebook page supporting the candidacy of mayor Tamayo.

The 38-year old Tamayo, who is also on his last term as mayor of Tupi will fight incumbent governor Daisy Fuentes in the May 13 gubernatorial race.
