Incumbent South Cotabato Governor topped the pre-election gubernatorial survey conducted by South Cotabato News (SCN) from April 23 - May 3, 2022. There were 3,600 respondents from the 10 municipalities of South Cotabato and the City of Koronadal.
Tamayo topped the survey with a huge lead over his rivals Congressman Ferdinand Hernandez, and independent candidate Pastor Ramir Badayos.
From the total of 3,600 registered voters that has responded to the question, "Who will you vote for Governor of the Province of South Cotabato on May 9 Elections?" 79.23% or 2,852 respondents voted for Tamayo, 20.32% (732) for Hernandez, while 0.45% (16) voted for Badayos.
