South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. has been elected as the new president of the League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) in an election held in Manila on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
The League of Provinces of the Philippines, also referred to as the Governor's League, is an organization composed of governors of the provinces in the Philippines. All of the 81 provinces are members of the organization.
Governor Tamayo, who is also the National President of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), succeeded Gov. Presbitero Velasco Jr. of Marinduque.
Other newly-elected officers of League of Provinces of the Philippines include Quirino Gov. Dakila Carlo Cua as the National Chairman and Gov. Susan Yap as Executive Vice President, Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia III is the VP for North Luzon, Gov.Humerlito Dolor - VP South Luzon, Gov. Jose Enrique Miraflores - VP for Visayas, Gov. Imelda Dimaporo - VP for Mindanao and Xavier Jesus Romualdo as Secretary- General.
