LOOK: Governor Tamayo attends 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 commemoration

National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) Chairperson for Government Sector and South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr attended the commemoration of the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 held at the Open Air Auditorium in Luneta Park, October 17, 2023.

Attended by representatives from various government agencies, local government units and representatives from the basic sectors, the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 is a commemoration of the often-unseen victims of poverty worldwide. Every year, NAPC renews its calls for the active participation of the public in tackling extreme poverty and exclusion to promote human dignity. It emphasizes a human-rights-based approach in its various anti-poverty initiatives, closely working with local governments to uplift the lives of every Filipino.

In his message, Governor Tamayo emphasized the importance of unity between the national government, those in the local government units, and the basic sectors in order to combat poverty.

"Everything is possible when we are united."

He also called on everyone to continue the fight against poverty.
