South Cotabato receives prestigious Gawad Edukampyon Award

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato headed by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr has been honored with the prestigious GAWAD EDUKAMPYON PARA SA LOKAL NA PAMAHALAAN award in recognition of its outstanding Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program implementations.

The GAWAD EDUKAMPYON PARA SA LOKAL NA PAMAHALAAN recognizes local government units, and institutions for “going the extra mile" in developing and implementing innovative programs in support of the DepEd’s learning continuity plan.

Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr., at the helm of the province, has led a transformative effort in the lives of children, placing great emphasis on ECCD initiatives. One of the remarkable accomplishments is the establishment of the Federation of Child Development Workers, a registered organization with the SEC, comprising 634 dedicated child development workers who are committed to personal growth and career advancement.

Under the umbrella of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development, the Day Care Workers have been instrumental in advancing ECCD, with a substantial budget allocation for the construction and operation of ECCD Centers.

Governor Tamayo's leadership has also ushered in ECCD-related training, assessment tools, and critical support during emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of children. The province further celebrates the indispensable role of daycare workers through events such as Daycare Workers Week and various programs aimed at nurturing and empowering the youth.

The GAWAD EDUKAMPYON PARA SA LOKAL NA PAMAHALAAN award is a testament to the unwavering commitment of South Cotabato's Provincial Government to provide quality care and development opportunities for its youngest citizens.

Congratulations to the Province of South Cotabato for this well-deserved recognition.
