Magon Family of Tupi named IP Model Family of South Cotabato 2023

The model Indigenous People (IP) families in the province of South Cotabato were recently recognized during the 8th Provincial Indigenous Peoples' Day celebration held on October 25 at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center..

Hailed as the Most Outstanding Model Indigenous People family were Mr. and Mrs. Roberto & Rosalie Magon from the Municipality of Tupi. As a prize, the Magon family received 50,000 pesos.

Mr. and Mrs. Jessie & Donet Bento and Family from Lake Sebu were named the first runner-up, and the family of Jun & Lilia Ula from Polomolok secured the second runner-up. They received prizes of 30,000 pesos and 20,000 pesos, respectively.

The primary objective of the search for model IP families is to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of these deserving IP families within the province. Their contributions significantly aid in enhancing family welfare and promoting overall development in their communities. This initiative seeks to highlight their crucial role and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
