The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., once again demonstrated its commitment to solidarity and compassion by extending assistance to flood-affected families in Capiz Province. The relief mission, led by the Officer-in-Charge of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Rolly Doane Aquino, RN, MPA, undertook a challenging journey of at least 72 hours to facilitate the delivery of aid from the people of South Cotabato to their fellow Filipinos in Capiz.

South Cotabato distributed 1000 sets of food packs and 1000 sets of hygiene kits to help alleviate the immediate needs of families grappling with the aftermath of the floods. The relief effort, coordinated by the PDRRMO, aimed to provide essential supplies to those affected and contribute to the ongoing recovery efforts in Capiz.

Governor Fredenil Castro of Capiz expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. and the people of South Cotabato for their swift response and generous assistance during this challenging time. The collaborative spirit and genuine concern exhibited by South Cotabato exemplify the unity and bayanihan spirit that binds Filipino communities together, transcending geographical boundaries.

This humanitarian effort follows South Cotabato's recent relief assistance to families affected by the earthquake in the municipalities of Malapatan and Glan in Sarangani Province. The province, under the leadership of Governor Tamayo, remains steadfast in its commitment to extending help not only to neighboring provinces in Mindanao but also to those in Luzon and Visayas.

The proactive and compassionate approach of South Cotabato's provincial government reflects Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.'s advocacy for "Dapat at Maayos na Serbisyo" (Effective and Efficient Service), emphasizing the importance of responsive governance, especially in times of crisis.
