South Cotabato Provincial Government and LGUs recognized by DILG for achieving 'Good Financial Housekeeping' status

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr, has achieved yet another notable milestone with its recent recognition by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for its exceptional performance in managing public funds throughout the year 2023.

The acknowledgment comes in the form of the Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping (SGFH), previously known as the Seal of Good Housekeeping, which signifies the local government unit's (LGU) adherence to accounting and auditing standards, as well as relevant rules and regulations.

This certification from the DILG reaffirms the province's commitment to transparent and accountable financial management practices, demonstrating that public funds have been utilized and audited meticulously under the current administration.

Alongside the PLGU- South Cotabato, several other LGUs within the province have also achieved this commendable feat. Among them are the municipalities of Surallah, Polomolok, Tampakan, Tantangan, Tupi and Tboli, and the City of Koronadal.

The SGFH serves as a crucial component of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), alongside disaster preparedness and social protection initiatives aimed at addressing the needs of various sectors such as women, children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
