South Cotabato Governor and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) President, Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., joined President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. at the BARMM Mayors Conference held at Diamond Hotel in Manila on Monday, June 24. The meeting aimed to strengthen support and commitment to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
President Marcos reiterated his confidence in the upcoming first parliamentary election of BARMM, emphasizing the importance of peace, accountability, and transparency in the electoral process. Addressing the conference attendees, he expressed the need for collaborative efforts from local leaders to ensure a successful and peaceful election.
"We need your help to make this election a success. Let us work together and strive for the most peaceful electoral process yet," President Marcos urged, highlighting the significance of unity and constructive dialogue among stakeholders in Mindanao.
President Marcos also underscored the vast opportunities for development in the region, emphasizing the potential for large-scale manufacturing facilities to generate employment and improve livelihoods for local communities.
The meeting gathered various BARMM local chief executives, including city and municipal mayors, alongside BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawaga Ebrahim, BARMM governors, and Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr.
