TESDA 12 welcomes new Regional Director

Director Tizon is a seasoned expert in Information Technology, which will aid in modernizing transactions and addressing IT concerns in the region. He has previously served as Assistant Division Chief in Davao City and as Acting Administrative Officer at the Public Safety and Security Command Center under the Mayor’s Office.
With significant experience in record management, including his role as Acting Head of the Record Management Division in 2017, Director Tizon has introduced several innovations to enhance transaction control and efficiency in his previous assignments.
In addition to his technical expertise, Director Tizon holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mindanao, Davao City, which he completed in 2011.
During the turnover ceremony held recently at the TESDA 12 Conference Hall, Director Tizon assured attendees that he will continue to uphold the region's best practices and introduce new innovations. He expressed hope that the entire region will support his plans and projects.
Director Tizon officially assumed his position on July 26, 2024, succeeding Regional Director Rafael Y. Abrogar II, who will be reassigned to Region 10.
With one regional training center and seven TESDA Training Institutions under his leadership, RD Tizon is confident that the transition will be smooth and that TESDA programs will effectively reach grassroots communities.
“It will be a significant challenge and a substantial responsibility, but I am motivated by my past experiences and the journey that brought me here,” RD Tizon said during the turnover ceremony.
He also emphasized that TESDA 12, with the support of public and private agencies, will continue to excel and ensure the successful implementation of all its programs.
Director Tizon has been serving as Director IV of TESDA since September 1, 2020.
