Hernandez: Joining Tamayo and PFP was an easy choice for South Cotabato

Former South Cotabato 2nd District Congressman Ferdinand Hernandez officially filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) on October 7, 2024, under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP). Speaking during a press conference after the filing, Hernandez stated that his decision to join PFP and align with South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. was a straightforward one, rooted in their shared vision for the province’s future.

"It wasn’t a hard decision to join PFP and unite with Gov. Jun Tamayo," Hernandez shared. "We share a common direction, and we can always set aside politics for the good of South Cotabato."

Hernandez also highlighted the long-standing relationship he has with Governor Tamayo, emphasizing the years of cooperation and mutual respect that made this partnership a natural step forward.

"We’ve had a long-standing relationship, and I thank him for the warm welcome," Hernandez added, reflecting on the camaraderie they’ve built over time.

As they move forward under the PFP banner, Hernandez stressed that his ultimate priority remains the well-being of South Cotabato, signaling that he will always make decisions with the province’s best interests at heart.

"At the end of the day, I will always decide what is best for South Cotabato," Hernandez declared, affirming his commitment to the province's progress.

With their partnership under the PFP banner, both Hernandez and Governor Tamayo aim to bring continued progress to South Cotabato, prioritizing collaboration over political differences to serve the province and its people. Their united front is seen as a crucial step toward driving positive change and strengthening the province's future.
