The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has been recognized as one of the top-performing local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines, placing in the Top 5 among 860 surveyed government agencies. This prestigious award from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) highlights South Cotabato’s dedication to the principles outlined in Republic Act No. 11032, the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Services Act of 2018.
Among 860 government agencies assessed—including 296 national government agencies, 135 state universities and colleges, 154 government-owned and controlled corporations, 25 government hospitals, 200 LGUs, and 50 local water districts—South Cotabato emerged as the only provincial government to receive this top honor.
The award reflects South Cotabato’s commitment to streamlining processes, reducing bureaucratic hurdles, and delivering high-quality services to its citizens. The province’s proactive approach has not only improved service efficiency but also promoted a more transparent and accessible government, setting a benchmark for other LGUs across the nation.
