Governor Tamayo highlights Unity and Progress in Tantangan during 64th Foundation Anniversary and 15th Kulitangtang Festival

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. lauded the spirit of unity and collaboration in the Municipality of Tantangan as he graced its 64th Foundation Anniversary and 15th Kulitangtang Festival this morning, January 27, 2025.

In his speech, Governor Tamayo celebrated the resilience and cooperation of the Tantangenos, emphasizing how their shared efforts have fostered peace, order, and development in the town despite challenges.

“Ang inyong makulay at napakasayang selebrasyon ngayon ng inyong 64th Foundation Anniversary at 15th Kulitangtang Festival ay nagpapakita muli ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng lahat ng tao sa bayan ng Tantangan,” he said.

The governor commended the people and officials of Tantangan for maintaining harmony within the community, saying, “Alam man natin na maraming pagsubok ang pinagdaanan ng bayan ng Tantangan, pero dahil sa patuloy na pagkakaisa ng Tantanganan ay na-maintain ang peace and order ng bayan. At sa kung ano mang pagsubok  pa ang pagdadaanan ng bayan ng Tantangan, ako ay nakakatiyak na ito’y malalampasan ninyong muli dahil sa pagkakaisa ng inyong mga opisyal.”

Governor Tamayo also reiterated his commitment to aligning the programs of the provincial government with those of the municipality to ensure continued progress. “Bilang governor ninyo, tinitiyak ko din ang patuloy na pagkakaisa at alignment ng mga programa ng inyong mayor at ng ating provincial government. Ipagpatuloy natin ang ating nasimulang pagkakaisa para sa tuloy-tuloy na progreso at development, at ng ating mga minimithiing pangarap para sa bayan ng Tantangan,” he added.

Among the notable attendees of the event was former South Cotabato 2nd District Congressman Ferdinand Hernandez, who has been a steadfast supporter of the municipality. Hernandez’s presence further highlighted the strong partnership and mutual support among leaders in the province.

The 64th Foundation Anniversary and 15th Kulitangtang Festival celebrated Tantangan’s rich cultural heritage and achievements. The festival included colorful performances, community activities, and showcases of local creativity and unity, drawing both residents and visitors to honor the town's history and traditions.

Governor Tamayo closed his message with optimism, expressing confidence that Tantangan will continue to thrive and rise above challenges through the dedication and unity of its people and leaders.
