Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. Re-elected as LPP National President for 2025–2028



South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. has been unanimously re-elected as National President of the League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) for the 2025–2028 term, making him only the second governor in the League’s history to hold the position for two consecutive terms.

The Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected National Officers and Executive Board Members was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and was officiated by DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla.

Joining Governor Tamayo in the national leadership of the League are:

  • Gov. Dax Cua of Quirino – Re-elected as National Chairman

  • Gov. Lilia Pineda of Pampanga – Elected as Executive Vice President

  • Gov. Rodolfo Albano III of Isabela – Senior Vice President for North Luzon

  • Gov. LRay Villafuerte of Camarines Sur – Senior Vice President for South Luzon

  • Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. of Iloilo – Senior Vice President for Visayas

  • Gov. Nilo Demerey Jr. of Dinagat Islands – Senior Vice President for Mindanao

  • Gov. Henry Oaminal of Misamis Occidental – Elected as Secretary-General

In his message, Governor Tamayo expressed deep appreciation for the renewed support of his fellow governors:

“I am deeply honored to be re-elected. Lubos po ang aking pasasalamat sa aking mga kapwa gobernador sa muling pagtitiwala at suporta sa aking pamumuno.”

He underscored that this renewed mandate is not just a personal honor but a collective responsibility to champion real change across the country’s provinces.

“This is not just for me—it’s for all of us working toward real change in our provinces,” he added. “Tuloy ang pagkakaisa. Tuloy ang tama at maayos na serbisyo para sa bawat lalawigan sa buong bansa.

As National President, Governor Tamayo reaffirmed his commitment to lead the League with integrity, unity, and purpose, ensuring that the voices of the provinces remain strong in national policy decisions.

This proud moment not only highlights his leadership on the national stage but also brings great honor to the people of South Cotabato.
