Gov. Tamayo Outlines Governance Direction During 15th Sangguniang Panlalawigan Inaugural Session

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. attended the Inaugural Session of the 15th Sangguniang Panlalawigan on July 7, 2025, held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, together with department heads of the Provincial Government.

In his address before the members of the provincial board, Gov. Tamayo laid down the general direction of his administration for the remaining three years of his final term as Governor. Central to his message was the call for unity and continued collaboration between the executive and legislative branches to ensure the effective delivery of public services and the sustainability of his administration’s flagship programs and projects.

“These remaining years are critical. We must work together to institutionalize the reforms we’ve started and strengthen the programs that have already impacted the lives of our people,” the governor emphasized.

Among the key priorities mentioned were the free education and scholarship support, free hospitalization and healthcare access, livelihood initiatives, agricultural development, and good governance practices — all aimed at inclusive and long-term growth for the province.

Governor Tamayo also expressed optimism that through continued cooperation with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, South Cotabato will achieve greater progress and bring lasting change to its people.
“With your support, we can sustain the momentum of development. Let us continue to build a South Cotabato where no one is left behind,” Tamayo added.

The Inaugural Session marked the official start of the legislative year for the newly constituted 15th Sangguniang Panlalawigan of South Cotabato.
