TUPI, SOUTH COTABATO — Vice President Sara Duterte has joined the growing list of national leaders offering condolences to the family of the late ANGAT Party-list Congressman Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Sr., who passed away on June 21, 2025.
On Monday, July 1, representatives from the Office of the Vice President personally visited the Tamayo residence in Barangay Poblacion, Tupi, South Cotabato, to deliver a floral tribute on behalf of Vice President Duterte. The gesture was a heartfelt expression of sympathy and respect for the late lawmaker.
The floral offering was graciously received by South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. and his mother, Mrs. Mila Tamayo, who both extended their sincere gratitude to the Vice President for her thoughtfulness during their time of mourning.
It will be remembered that Cong. Tamayo was among the members of the House of Representatives who chose not to support the impeachment complaint filed against Vice President Duterte.
The interment of the late Congressman Tamayo is scheduled on Saturday, July 5, at the Holy Trinity Memorial Park in Tupi, where he will be laid to rest.
As the final day of tribute approaches, the Tamayo family continues to receive an outpouring of support from local and national leaders, former colleagues, and constituents who remember Cong. Tamayo as a man of humility, integrity, and unwavering dedication to public service.
