For South Cotabato Governor and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) President Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., leadership has always been about service. But beyond the walls of the provincial capitol, he carries a bigger mission - a dream of a government that is fair, honest, and closer to the people.
In one of his strongest statements yet, Gov. Tamayo spoke from the heart:
For Tamayo, the problem is clear — a highly-centralized system breeds a highly-centralized corruption. And while he acknowledges the difficulty of the fight, his voice carries the conviction of someone who has seen firsthand how ordinary people suffer when resources and opportunities are locked away at the center.
In South Cotabato, he has shown how good governance can transform lives. Through programs anchored on “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo,” he proved that when leadership listens, empowers, and serves with integrity, people thrive. These successes fuel his belief that federalism can replicate this progress nationwide.
What sets Gov. Tamayo apart is how personal this fight is for him. It is not just about systems or policies; it is about leaving behind a legacy of honesty and fairness.
In every word, his message is simple but powerful: the fight against corruption is a fight for the future. And for Gov. Tamayo, that future is worth every sacrifice.
