South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. has been recently making rounds in various provincial government facilities, personally checking their operations to ensure they are serving their purpose and benefitting the people of South Cotabato.
Among the facilities visited by the governor were the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital in Koronadal City, the Balay Silangan Reformatory Center in Tupi, the Animal Processing and Production Center (APPC) in Tantangan, as well as the under-construction IPHO Health Services Building and the Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center in Paraiso, Koronadal City.
The visits, mostly unannounced, reflect Governor Tamayo’s hands-on leadership style. He explained that his goal is to see firsthand the actual conditions of government facilities, the services they provide, and how they can be further improved to meet the needs of South Cotabateños.
“Hindi ko ipinapaalam ang mga ganitong pagbisita dahil gusto kong makita ang tunay na sitwasyon. Ang importante ay sigurado tayong napapakinabangan ng ating mga kababayan ang mga serbisyong dapat ay para sa kanila,” the governor said.
Governor Tamayo emphasized that these facilities—ranging from health care, rehabilitation, agricultural support, and youth development—are integral to the provincial government’s thrust of delivering tama at maayos na serbisyo to all.
He also shared that other provincial government facilities will be visited in the coming days, as part of his continuing effort to monitor programs and infrastructure on the ground.
Known as a very hands-on leader, Governor Tamayo makes time not only for inspecting facilities but also for visiting different barangays to personally listen to the concerns of the people.
In his previous announcements, Governor Tamayo assured that during his last three years as governor, he will double his efforts and do everything to ensure that government services are truly felt by the people and that the provincial government will be well in place for the long term.
