Governor Tamayo explained that while his heart and priority remain with the people of South Cotabato, his national roles allow him to help shape policies and programs that directly impact local governments and communities across the country.
As LPP President, he represents the interests of all governors nationwide, pushing for stronger support to provinces and advocating for reforms that would enable local governments to deliver more effective services.
Meanwhile, as NAPC Vice Chairperson for the Government Sector, Governor Tamayo plays a crucial role in aligning government initiatives with anti-poverty programs, ensuring that marginalized sectors are given proper attention and assistance.
“These roles give me the opportunity to extend what we are doing in South Cotabato to a national level. Kung ano ang naging matagumpay sa atin — tulad ng libreng edukasyon, libreng pagpapagamot, at suporta sa ating mga magsasaka — ay nais nating ma-replicate at mapakinabangan din ng iba pang lalawigan,” Tamayo said.
Governor Tamayo is known for his principle of “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo,” which has guided his governance style in South Cotabato and now serves as an advocacy at the national stage.
His dual role — as a local chief executive and as a national leader — demonstrates his commitment to ensuring that the voices of provinces and marginalized communities are heard in shaping national policies.
