Gov. Tamayo, LPP President, Backs President Marcos on Probe into Flood Control Project Anomalies

South Cotabato Governor and League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) President Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. has thrown his full support behind President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call to investigate anomalies in flood control projects, stressing that those responsible must be held accountable.

In a video interview, Tamayo condemned the alleged corruption, saying it has become intolerable.

“Bilang League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) President, nararapat lang na ipakita namin ang suporta sa direksyon ng ating Pangulo na  talagangsugpuin, hanapin at parusahan kung sino man ang involve sa ganitong mga anomalya.”

While acknowledging the complexity of the issue, he urged decisive action through a formal probe.

“Napakahirap kasi na sumawsaw pa diyan sa problema na mayroon sila. Pero ako, bilang LPP President, suportado ko ang direksyon ng ating Pangulo na kailangan talaga mag-create ng committee na mag-investigate sa problemang ito.”

Clearly frustrated, the governor did not hold back:

“Talagang nakakasuka na.”

Tamayo emphasized that corruption in infrastructure projects directly harms Filipinos who rely on flood control measures for safety, and vowed that local governments will support the President’s fight for accountability and good governance.
