Governor Tamayo: Relief Goods, Medical Team from South Cotabato Bound for Cebu

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. has pledged immediate assistance to Cebu following the powerful 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck the province Monday night.

“Early in the morning, relief goods and hygiene kits from the people of South Cotabato will be heading to Cebu,” Governor Tamayo announced.

He further said that the province’s medical team will also be deployed to assist, in close coordination with Cebu Governor Pam Baricuatro. “Our medical team will also be deployed, subject to Gov. Pam Baricuatro’s disposal,” Tamayo added.

The governor stressed that South Cotabateños are united in extending help to their fellow Filipinos in times of calamity.

The earthquake has left dozens dead, injured hundreds, and damaged homes, churches, and infrastructure in northern Cebu, with rescue and relief operations still ongoing.
