The Province of South Cotabato has once again proven its strong and steady economic momentum after posting the fastest economic growth in SOCCSKSARGEN for the year 2024, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Based on the latest report, South Cotabato’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 6.9 percent in 2024, the highest among the four provinces and one highly urbanized city in the region. It was followed by the City of General Santos with 6.8 percent, Sarangani with 5.9 percent, Cotabato with 4.4 percent, and Sultan Kudarat with 2.2 percent.

Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. attributed the province’s economic gains to the collective effort of the people of South Cotabato and the continued implementation of programs that promote inclusive growth, transparency, and efficiency in local governance.

“This achievement reflects the hard work and resilience of every South Cotabateño. It’s a clear result of our shared commitment to good governance and sustainable development,” Governor Tamayo said.
