In a statement released by the party, the PFP denounced Co’s accusations linking the President to alleged budget insertions in the flood control investigation, calling the claims “groundless, misleading, and without any factual basis.”
The party emphasized that Co must face the public and the proper authorities, instead of issuing accusations from abroad.
According to the PFP, the credibility of Co’s statements can only be tested if he comes home to verify, explain, and stand by his claims.
“We challenge Mr. Co to return to the country and substantiate his statements. Baseless accusations only cause confusion and have no place in responsible governance,” the party declared.
PFP also reaffirmed its full support for President Marcos, stressing that the Chief Executive has consistently shown his intolerance for irregularities - evident in his order to investigate the flood control anomalies.
The party reiterated its commitment to uphold the Marcos administration’s stance against corruption and to maintain the highest standards of integrity within its ranks.
