Tamayo: Bohol’s Support Means More Than Financial Aid

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. expressed his deep appreciation to the people and Provincial Government of Bohol, led by Governor Erico Aristotle C. Aumentado, for the P1.5-million assistance extended to South Cotabateños affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck the province in June.

Tamayo said the assistance will provide meaningful support to affected families as they continue to recover and rebuild from the impact of the earthquake.

He also expressed appreciation for the Bohol Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), whose personnel personally traveled to South Cotabato to deliver the assistance.

For Tamayo, Bohol’s gesture goes beyond the financial value of the donation. It reflects compassion, solidarity and the spirit of bayanihan extended to South Cotabato at a time when its people needed support.

“Sa panahon ng pagsubok, ang ganitong malasakit at pakikiisa ay nagbibigay ng dagdag-lakas at pag-asa,” Tamayo said.

Bohol also provided P1.5 million to the Province of Sarangani and P2 million to General Santos City, bringing its total assistance to earthquake-affected areas in Soccsksargen to P5 million.

Tamayo thanked Bohol and Governor Aumentado for their generosity and for standing with South Cotabato in its continuing recovery.

“Maraming salamat muli, Bohol, sa inyong malasakit at pagmamahal sa aming mga kababayan sa South Cotabato,” Tamayo said.
