Gov. Tamayo Urges Public: Report Pages Spreading False Information

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. is urging the public to do more than simply ignore false information circulating online - he is encouraging residents to report pages and posts that deliberately spread misinformation.

In his latest Facebook post, Tamayo reminded social media users to be careful with the information they encounter online and to verify the source and accuracy of a report before sharing it.

He also stressed that when a page or post is found to be intentionally spreading false information, the public can take action by reporting it through the platform.

The governor’s appeal comes with a simple message: misinformation should not be allowed to gain traction simply because it is repeatedly shared.

Rather than getting distracted by misleading posts or engaging in unnecessary online arguments, Tamayo said the focus should remain on work and delivering proper service to the people.

“Patuloy lang tayo sa trabaho, at sa tama at maayos na serbisyo para sa ating mga kababayan.”
