South Cotabato Government Reaches ISO Milestone in Public Service Delivery

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has reached a significant milestone in public service delivery with the achievement of ISO certification for its public administration system covering all provincial government services, 21 departments, 16 divisions under the Office of the Provincial Governor, and 197 service processes.

Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. welcomed the achievement, saying he initially did not expect that all the covered offices would successfully attain the certification.

Tamayo emphasized that ISO certification is not simply about standardizing government procedures but also about ensuring the quality, consistency, and continual improvement of public services.

He said the certification demonstrates that the province’s systems and processes are aligned with established quality standards, providing a framework for efficient, consistent, and reliable service delivery.

Also covered by ISO certification is the administration of the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital, which has a separate certification number based on its specific scope and operations.

Tamayo said the achievement reflects the provincial government’s continuing efforts to strengthen its quality management systems and institutionalize standards across its offices.

The initiative supports the provincial government’s commitment to providing efficient, consistent, and quality public service under its guiding principle of “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo.”
