Residents anywhere in the province of South Cotabato can now text or call the Office of the Governor for any complaints, concerns, and emergencies.
This after Gov. Arthur Y. Pingoy Jr, yesterday launched the “Itawag o I-Text Kay Gov. Dodo Hotlines” that provides for a direct communication to the provincial chief.
Those who have concerns or would wish to inform the Office of the Governor of an emergency or impending disaster may contact the following numbers: landine number 153 and mobile numbers 0938-2364573, 0927- 9109517, and 0933-1909644.
Gov. Pingoy said, “our intentions for putting up the hotlines is primarily to expedite the delivery of services to communities.”
"This is in line with the desire of President Benigno Aquino III’s mandate for transparency and accountability in the government," he added.
Pingoy promised that his office will promptly respond to whatever legitimate concerns brought out through the hotlines.
“The latest time that we can respond to the concerns, except for emergencies, is the following day,” he said.
Callers and texters are also assured that their message and identities will be kept confidential.
He appealed to all residents of South Cotabato to support his program. He is even soliciting suggestions on how to improve it for the benefit of everyone.
These numbers will soon be posted in conspicuous and public places all over the province. (PIA 12)
