Lembohung Festival is usually celebrated during the month of December but was recently moved by the local government of Surallah to September, it comes from the two T'boli words, "lem" which means "within" and "buhong" a pineapple-like ornamental plant with white flowers within its leaves that grows abundantly in the area which the natives called lembohung now known as Barangay Libertad.

Lembohung Festival aims to sustain the preservation, promotion and development of arts, culture and tradition of the original inhabitants in the town of Surallah which are the Tagabili tribe.
