Miss Philippines Earth winners arrives at the 12th Paradise

Looking all stunningly gorgeous, the winners of this year's Miss Philippines Earth beauty pageant  arrived in General Santos City yesterday, August 21. They are among the guests of the first-ever International Paragliding Accuracy Championship ( IPAC ) being held in Maasim, Sarangani Province.


They were warmly welcomed by General Santos City officials led by Vice Mayor Nograles during their courtesy call. Also present were organizers of IPAC 2014 and the people behind their visit, the Department of Tourism Region 12 headed by Regional Director Nelly Nita N. Dillera.

Dillera
"The attention that you are getting and the attention that Region 12 is getting through you is a positive step towards making people understand more the 12th Paradise.." said DOT- 12 Regional Director Dillera during her welcome address. 

She also hopes for the ladies to get the most of enjoyment that they can have in the 12th Paradise.

The 12th Paradise is the tourism brand of Region 12 or SOCCSKSARGEN  which focuses on what the region can offer as a paradise through its world-class natural and cultural destinations.

The ladies also had a glimpse of downtown Gensan through a motorcade and  joined a Zumba party and  a meet and greet activity held at SM City General Santos. 




In the coming days, the ladies will be visiting  various tourist destinations in the region which they will also help to promote. 

Among these are the Baras Bird Sanctuary in Tacurong City, Lake Sebu in South Cotabato and the beaches in Gumasa, Sarangani among others.

The visit of  the Miss Philippines Earth 2014 winners in SOCCSKSARGEN was made possible by the Department of Tourism 12 (DOT-12) in cooperation with different local government units in the region.
