South Cotabato is 4th Most Competitive Province in 2015, Polomolok is 10th among municipalities

Here's another reason for South Cotabateños to be proud of and celebrate.

The Province of South Cotabato is the 4th Most Competitive Province in the entire country for 2015. Not only that, the town of Polomolok, one of South Cotabato's most progressive towns, is again the 10th Most Competitive Municipality in the Philippines.
This is according to the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI), an annual ranking of Philippine cities and municipalities developed by the National Competitiveness Council through the Regional Competitiveness Committees (RCCs) with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development. This year, a total of 1,098 LGUs participated in the rankings.

South Cotabato ranked 4th among all provinces in the country with a score of 36.42 while Polomolok made it to the top 10 of most competitive municipalities this year with a score of 39.92. Polomolok scored high in Economic Dynamism-  it placed 9th overall.

Rankings of Cities and Municipalities are based on the sum of their scores on 3 Pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, and Infrastructure. Provincial rankings are based on population and income weighted average of the Overall scores of cities and municipalities under a province.

The municipalities of Surallah and Tboli also did well in this year's CMCI results. Surallah ranked 23rd this year and was ranked 9th overall in Government Efficiency. While Tboli ranked 13th overall in Economic Dynamism.
