The City of Koronadal, capital of the province of South Cotabato and the center of the province in terms of political, cultural and socio-economic activities will be celebrating its 11th Charter Anniversary this coming October 1- 8, 2011. Some of the activities lined-up for the celebration includes nightly fests, market & beer festivals, concerts, funfare and trade exhibits, job fairs and more.
Koronadal was converted into a component city of South Cotabato now known as the City of Koronadal by virtue of Republic Act 8803 on October 8, 2000. The city is also the administrative seat for Region 12 or SOCCSKSARGEN.
