Street dancing contingent of Landan National High School from Polomolok won big in the recently concluded Pyesta Kolon D'tal street dancing competition of the 17th Hinugyaw Festival and Koronadal's 77th Foundation Anniversary held Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Landan National HS performers in their colorful costumes wowed spectators at the main streets of Koronadal and the South Cotabato Sports Complex during the grand showdown with their lively performances showcasing the rich culture of the Blaan tribe. Aside from the championship, the group also bagged the special awards including Best in Music and Best in Production .They bested the contingents from South Upi National High School from South Upi, Maguindanao Province, Bagumbayan National High School from Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat Province and street dancers from Romulo L. Latog Sr. Elementary School from Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat.
The Pyesta Kolon D'tal street dancing competition was the main highlight of the week-long Hinugyaw Festival of the City of Koronadal. The event showcased the culture of the tri-people namely; the lumads, Christians and Muslims through dance, music, colorful costumes and props.
