South Cotabato 2nd District representative Ferdinand Hernandez has drawn flak on Monday after a Facebook page supporting his candidacy for provincial governor in the upcoming May 2022 elections uploaded a video of him criticizing the FREE Hospitalization program of the current administration under Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr.
In the video uploaded at Kanami Ah Facebook page, Congressman Hernandez repeatedly called the free hospitalization program of Governor Tamayo as "tinikal", a term in local dialect for false, not true, or fabricated.
South Cotabato netizens, especially those who benefited from the free hospitalization program, were quick to defend Governor Tamayo. Supporters of the popular governor also called out the congressman, for them he is the one who is not telling the truth and spreading lies.
