South Cotabato Governor and Regional Peace and Order Council -12 Chairperson Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. attended the 1st Joint National Peace and Order Council (NPOC)-Regional Peace and Order Councils (RPOCs) Meeting 2023 held at the Tent City in Manila Hotel and at the Heroes Hall in Malacañan Palace, Tuesday, April 18.
The 1st Joint NPOC-RPOC Meeting at the Manila Hotel was attended by Vice President Sara Z. Duterte along with DILG Secretary and NPOC Chairman Atty. Benjamin C. Abalos, Jr.
At the Heroes Hall in Malacañan Palace, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. administered the oath taking of the newly appointed RPOC Chairpersons and RPOC Vice Chairpersons.

In his message, President Marcos tasked the members of the national and regional peace and order councils to address cases of political violence as well as those stemming from the illegal drug trade, which he said are today's two biggest concerns threatening peace and order in the country.
