Self-Accident in Surallah: Pickup truck suffers significant damage; driver and passengers injured

A pickup truck was significantly damaged in a self-accident that took place at approximately 10:00 AM today, October 25, 2023 in National Highway, Brgy. Libertad, Surallah, South Cotabato.

Lieutenant Colonel Conrado Jovero Jr., the Chief of Police of Surallah PNP, identified the driver of the Toyota Conquest as Cyrex Bayoneta, a resident of Koronadal City.

According to Lt. Col. Jovero, the victim was accompanied by a minor and the minor's mother, en route to Brgy. Dajay in the same municipality when they lost control of the vehicle. This loss of control led to a collision with a center island post.

Jovero added that it is possible that Bayoneta was driving at a high speed.

Although the victims sustained minor injuries, they were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and maintaining control while driving.
