11th Special Forces "Stingray" Company welcomes new Commanding Officer

A Change of Command Ceremony was held for the new Commanding Officer of the 11th Special Forces "Stingray" Company, 5th Special Forces Battalion of the Philippine Army on November 6, 2023 held at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center in Koronadal City.

Incoming Commanding Officer Captain Jeffrey Ladislao officially assumed his role, succeeding Outgoing Commanding Officer Captain Krisjuper Andreo Punsalan in a ceremony led by Lieutenant Colonel Carlyleo Nagac, the Commander of the 5th Special Forces Battalion.

CPT Punsalan, who served diligently for a period of two years, dedicated his efforts to the implementation of Peace, Law Enforcement, and Development support missions. Under his command, the company achieved remarkable success, including successful encounters against Communist NPA Terrorists, the neutralization of CTG personalities in combat and surrenders, the capture of high-powered firearms and explosives, the conduct of Community Support Programs in conflict-affected areas, and the peaceful and effective enforcement of existing peace agreements between GPH, MILF, and MNLF.

Furthermore, CPT Punsalan played a pivotal role in sectoral unification and E-CLIP implementation, the protection and security of critical infrastructure, investments, businesses, and government flagship projects. He also spearheaded efforts in combatting terrorist recruitment, preventing violent extremism and terrorist threats, ultimately leading to the weakening of confronted threats within South Cotabato.

CPT Ladislao, a highly qualified officer to lead the 11th Special Forces "Stingray" Company, boasts distinguished expertise in counter-terrorism and special forces operations. With over five years of experience as a team leader in the tactical units of the Special Forces, CPT Ladislao brings valuable combat experience to his new role. He has consistently excelled in various specialization and career courses.

During the Change of Command Ceremony, LTC Nagac, alongside key stakeholders and the members of the 11th Special Forces "Stingray" Company, congratulated CPT Punsalan for his outstanding leadership and expressed their trust and confidence in CPT Ladislao as he takes the helm. CPT Ladislao is poised to determine the future direction of the unit in the years to come.
