DILG-12 recognizes South Cotabato's outstanding Peace and Order Council, Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. together with Vice Governor Pingoy, Sangguniang Panlalawigan members Causing, Dar and Sambog with PSWDO Sonia Bautista presented two plaques of recognition from DILG-12 during the Flag Ceremony on Monday, November 6


The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 12, in a prestigious ceremony on October 31, 2023, honored South Cotabato with two significant awards for its remarkable efforts in peace and order and anti-trafficking initiatives.

The "Pasidungog sa Dose" Awarding Ceremony for Outstanding LGU Implementers on DILG Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) took place in the City of Koronadal, where South Cotabato shone brightly. The province's Peace and Order Council (POC) was recognized as one of the Most Outstanding POCs in Region 12 for the year 2022. Their unwavering dedication to maintaining peace and security within the province has earned them this prestigious distinction.

Further enhancing South Cotabato's standing, the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) received a Plaque of Recognition for achieving an Ideal Level of Functionality for the 2023 Program Implementation, a recognition that covers the 2022 Assessment Year.

These accolades are a testament to the province's dedication and hard work in upholding peace and security and combating trafficking and violence against women and children. South Cotabato's commitment to creating a safer and more secure environment for its residents is being celebrated and acknowledged on a regional level. These awards are an inspiration for the province to persist in providing excellent service to its constituents and serve as a model for other regions across the nation.
