Tamayo Jr. took to his Facebook page to express his pride and gratitude following the successful Tnalak Festival 2024 Governor's Night, held on July 15 at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center. The event celebrated the province's rich cultural heritage by recognizing three living Gawad Manlilikha ng Bayan (GAMABA) awardees and honoring several individuals and organizations with the Outstanding South Cotabateño award for their significant contributions to the province.
The GAMABA awardees, recognized for their exceptional artistry and dedication to preserving South Cotabato's cultural legacy, include:
- Boi Rosie Sula: Celebrated for her mastery in Lingon or chanting.
- Boi Barbara Ofong: Renowned for her exquisite Tnalak weaving.
- Datu Bundos Fara: Distinguished for his skill in brass casting.
In addition to the GAMABA honorees, several other individuals and organizations received the Outstanding South Cotabateño award for their impactful contributions to the province.
