PhilHealth XII releases Php 87M in Frontload Capitation Fund to South Cotabato for Primary Care Provider Network

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has received the second Frontload Capitation Fund for the Primary Care Provider Network (PCPN) from PhilHealth Regional Office XII. The released amount, totaling Php 87,418,340.18, will further strengthen the delivery of health services in the province, particularly the primary care benefit packages.

South Cotabato is one of the four designated sandbox sites for the PCPN in the Philippines, a critical component of the Universal Health Care (UHC) program that aims to expand access to primary health care. The fund is expected to enhance the implementation of the PCPN, ensuring that quality health care services are made more accessible to the people of South Cotabato.

Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. expressed his gratitude to PhilHealth XII and its Regional Vice President, Dr. Hector Zenon Leonardo P. Malate, for their continued support in advancing health care services in the province.

“We are grateful to PhilHealth XII for their unwavering commitment to improving health care in South Cotabato. The release of this fund is a significant step towards achieving our goal of providing quality health care services to every citizen in our province,” Governor Tamayo said.

Governor Tamayo further commended PhilHealth XII for their tireless efforts in making South Cotabato a key player in the UHC program. As one of the integration sites of the UHC sandbox, the province is well-positioned to deliver more comprehensive health services, from primary care to referral services.

“This support allows us to ensure that every member of our community receives the health care they need, tailored to their individual assessments by our primary care providers,” the Governor added.

South Cotabato Integrated Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Rogelio B. Aturdido, and Administrative Officer, Mr. John Salcedo, were also present during the release of the funds. Team PhilHealth, led by Field Operations Division Chief Lorelie G. Bonilla and Health Care Delivery Management Division Chief Dr. Lizamar P. Banatao, represented the PhilHealth XII delegation.

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato remains committed to delivering high-quality and accessible health care services to its citizens, with the continued support of PhilHealth and other stakeholders in the health sector.
