South Cotabato Governor and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) President Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. officially announced the full slate of the party's local candidates for the upcoming 2025 midterm elections during the recent "RST Day" event in Koronadal City.
During the event, Gov. Tamayo introduced key figures running under the PFP banner. For the congressional races, he presented Rep. Ed Lumayag for the 1st District, former Rep. Ferdinand Hernandez for the 2nd District, and Surallah Vice Mayor Antonio Bendita for the 3rd District.
He also confirmed the party's support for the reelection bid of Vice Gov. Arthur Pingoy Jr. for South Cotabato's vice gubernatorial post. The line-up for the provincial Sangguniang Panlalawigan (Provincial Board) includes prominent candidates such as Nilda Almencion, Noel Escobillo, Ruby Hatulan, Junette Hurtado, Alicia Nicole Causing, Cecile Diel, Ervin Luntao, Henry Ladot, and Annable Pinggoy.
At the municipal level, PFP's slate for mayors includes Honey Lumayag-Matti for Polomolok, Romeo Tamayo for Tupi, Leonard Escobillo for Tampakan, Timee Joy Torres-Gonzales for Tantangan, Albert Palencia for Banga, Pedro Matinong Jr. for Surallah, Sulpicio Villalobos for Sto. Niño, Ken Fungan for Lake Sebu, Grace Silva for Tboli, and Mayor Eliordo Ogena for Koronadal City.
Governor Tamayo himself is also anticipated to seek reelection and is expected to run unopposed.
This full slate of candidates showcases PFP’s determination to continue its leadership in the province, with Gov. Tamayo expressing confidence in their capability to lead South Cotabato towards further progress.
The announcement marks the beginning of PFP's preparations for the 2025 elections, reinforcing their commitment to supporting leaders who can advocate for the party's vision and serve the people of South Cotabato effectively.
